As we approach GenCon, there seems to be more and more NEWS available:
Z-Man unveils scenarios for Pandemic [Link] This is an excellent way to increase the mileage of an already great and oft-played game. I hope they continue! (Also, check out the new Pandemic insert that will be available in the reprint of On the Brink.)

What Happens In Avalon.... (A Review of The Resistance: Avalon)
It is a dark time in Camelot. (If that sounds familiar, perhaps you recently read this review of another Arthurian-themed traitor game) King Arthur has disappeared, and Mordred is pressing hard against his loyal servants. Unfortunately, Mordred is not waging an all-out war so much as infiltrating the ranks of Arthur's people. Will the loyalists be able to root out the evil minions of Mordred in time, or will they fall prey to their cunning deception? Or, perhaps even worse, will they fail to protect Merlin, their only hope?
In the Resistance: Avalon, an updated version of Don Eskridge's The Resistance, players take on the role of characters in Arthurian times--either loyal servants of Arthur or minions of the evil Mordred.

News Bits: 1/28/2013
Big news this week. Read on!
Toy Vault acquires Firefly license [Link] Geek worlds converged last week when Toy Vault announced that it had acquired the Firefly license to create tabletop games in Joss Whedon's 'verse. I'm not terribly excited about this news, but only because licensed games don't excite me much. (This is the themeless, soulless Euro part of me coming out.) And I'm especially not too excited when the tabletop games announcement came in the same breath as novelty plush figures and pillows based on the characters. Still, time will tell.
